As I'm sitting here writing down my thoughts in my iPod I start to balance out my vision with a tripod I try hard just to be the vision in the vision If you didn't hear stay schemin then you missed the vision I must admit that my mind is so old school Professing on this mike while I'm flirting with the pro tools I refuse to watch myself become a gimmick The art mean more than my 15 minutes I put to much time in this art for it to be a craft But watch me build a wealthy craft stemming from this art You are listening to the voice of a prophet Spitting out the views of abuse on his optics Where I'm from not to many make it on the streets But don't think it's sweet cuz the sidewalk come with beef As well If the government could they would dub this As an uncontrolled substance And I ain't even mad how they paint they pictures Everybody paint not quality get the picture I'm just an artist with a mind state identical To dictionary and encyclopedias to name a few To smart for my own good they said in school Anyone knows me know I slept my way through They say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover It's funny people make decisions based on the cover But it's sad ppl do it I'm just stating facts Ppl would trade they first edition for a paperback It's funny how quick we give up qualities Just to be a repetitive substance of quantity Honestly these are all just my opinion After this I don't need nobody catching feelings Cuz it seems nobody exercise the first amendment I exercise my voice you lazy people get offended In the booth I'm a California beach bum instinctively Now you understand they just waves to me I'm to gifted for the traps they layed for me I Refuse to let them brand minimum wage on me Best believe I wasn't focus this just for sport This is D-Rell signing off on my thoughts
